Our DNA
Tailoring
We believe in getting the sizing right on the first time and that no two bodies or preferences are the same. For this reason we offer free custom tailoring of your new Havre Studio piece. Our team consist of 10 highly skilled tailors with a combined experience of more than 200 years. This means that no preference to fit, and no body type is too difficult for us to work with.
About us
Havre Studio was founded in 2019 between Copenhagen and Mexico City and created to aid solving a problem, by disrupting traditional production patterns that have failed the planet. We ruthlessly search the world for old gems and prolong their life cycle, through cleaning, repairing and reimagining them.
We are a label that focuses on assets such as quality, sustainability, uniqueness and ethical production. Our garments are primarily sourced in Mexico City and reworked by our partnering independent seamstresses, suppliers and dry cleaners, each determining their own pay and their own working hours.
Havre Studio wishes to slow down the process and focus on our approach to how we buy clothes. Our objective is to ensure that our customers are able to use and wear them for years, and even pass them on to the next person, prolonging the lifespan of each piece, while simultaneously minimising waste and emissions caused by clothing consumption.
Everything is recycled, repurposed and/or vintage, and a lot of time, effort and care goes into repurposing our garments.
Our Production
Recycling
Everything we create and sell has been used prior. We clean and repurpose everything, and therefore don’t contribute to the large strain that fashion puts on the environment, as well as how it exploits workers and results in land fills, pollution and polluted water.
Ethical Production
All our pieces are created by independent people and local businesses. Each person sets their own fare as well as their own working hours, which we honor completely. They are not rushed in their work, as we know that no one knows their craft better than them.
Circular Economy
Everything we create and sell has been used prior. We clean and repurpose everything, and therefore don’t contribute to the large strain that fashion puts on the environment, as well as how it exploits workers and results in land fills, pollution and polluted
water.
